GENUINE ASS KICKING

A select few from Toronto's fitness community were brought together today for what I would like to call a genuine ass kicking courtesy of Genuine Health and Studio KO. In addition to a killer sweat session was a lovely presentation by the founder of Genuine Health. I was familiar with some of their products like Greens+ and Proteins+, but I didn't actually know anything about their products and what makes them so unique.

The defining factor that makes Genuine Health so special is the fact that their products are made from fermented ingredients. Fermented whole foods have long been used in the diets of our ancestors and contain powerful plant-based chemicals that are protective against chronic disease. Fermentation amplifies the nutrition of food by increasing the nutrient profile, and bioavailability of a variety of nutrients, including, but not limited to B vitamins, magnesium, and zinc.

Traditional techniques have even exhibited the ability to generate NEW nutrients within these foods throughout the process. Studies have shown that fermentation magnifies the benefits of plants and herbal blends and in some cases produces unique phytonutrients, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that did not exist prior to fermentation.

In other words – fermentation increases the power of your nutrition!

Some of the ingredients you will find in their products include but are not limited to:

- Fermented Dairy

- Fermented Olive Oil

- Fermented Quinoa Sprouts

- Fermented Cocoa Seed

- Fermented Kale

To sum it all up Genuine Health is all about loving your gut. Their products help you nourish more, digest more, and absorb more. Their protein powders will not cause bloating and all of their products contain pure, natural ingredients. They are research driven, and proven, and believe in a healthy peaceful planet with a conscious effort in reducing their environmental footprint. Definitely a + there!

Thank you to both Genuine Health and Studio KO for an educational sweat session followed by a tasty treat!
